iHERB Haul for Dogs

I’ve been delaying shopping for Cotton for quite awhile now due to personal commitments, though it’s honestly not even that time consuming seeing as it’s our 4th-5th time purchasing from iHerb.

The total spent was USD43.94 for Cotton’s items, and iHerb was giving a promotion of free shipping (normally shipping is 4 dollars).

We choose Zuke’s treats for Cotton as there has been no recalls (no contaminations), is made in USA, and Cotton goes crazy for them. What’s more, each mini individual moist treat is 3.5 calories and can be broken further into 4 quarters πŸ˜€ In short, excellent high value training treats.

Additionally, the Zuke’s Hip Natural treats contain relatively high levels of glucosamine, chondroitin and egg shell membrane. Since we don’t know how old Cotton could be, we feel it’s important to supplement her diet with such preventives, to prevent onset of arteritis, joint pain, etc. Cotton loves these treats, and it’s thus a painless, easy way for her to get her to eat stuff good for her body! πŸ˜€

The EV coconut oil is used in her home cooked meals which helps improve her coat, boost her immune system, regulate metabolism and aid in proper digestion.

Flaxseeds are a source of omega-3 fatty acids, full of antioxidants and fibre, and can lower the risk of diabetes, cancer and heart disease, 3 prevailing causes for death in pet dogs.

The steel cut oats, which are most suitable for making oat flour, will be grounded and used in baking for her, as I have not come across oat flour in supermarkets (not that I have really tried to hahaa)

We also usually buy colloidal silver, her doggysudz shampoo and Nutiva chia seeds for her from iHerb.

Breakdown of costs:
From PLC: 1lb (453g) of Zuke’s mini natural Salmon Flavoured treats cost S$23.54 (not inclusive of GST)
Thus 100g of treats cost S$5.20

From iHerb
5 x 6oz (total: 850g) of Zuke’s mini natural Salmon Flavoured treats cost S$22.54
Thus 100g of treats cost S$2.65

TL;DR, I pay half the price buying from iHerb than from PLC. WOW!

We all want to pamper our pooches and give them the best to our abilities, hence why not learn to stretch each dollar and get find the most inexpensive source, right? πŸ˜€ Shipping from iHerb takes about 1-2 weeks, relatively fast in my opinion πŸ™‚
